Lodos is a short story that runs in the browser. One November, a small sloop leaves Kaş to sail north for the winter. The lodos, the warm south-west wind, turns her back on the first day. The story ends on an island ferry in Istanbul. The captions are in English and Turkish.
Lodos is a work in progress. This note lists each version, newest first.
Versions
- 16 October 2026, release 2: A new story in eight chapters, “North for the winter”. Each chapter opens with a dated log line, in English and Turkish. The story goes from Kaş at dawn, into the lodos and back to Kaş at night, then to Heybeliada and on the island ferry to Beşiktaş. The next scene loads during the chapter before it, so the chapters start without a pause.
- 16 October 2026, release 1: Lodos is now a guided story instead of a sailing game. Each chapter waits for a tap before it moves on. When you sail, the boat keeps its course, and you can bend it left or right, but you cannot fail. The gauges, buoys and fail states are gone. You can pause, see the chapters, mute the sound and zoom the page. It also starts faster and uses less battery.
- 16 October 2026: First version on omc345.com, built from the Lodos repo. The page loads the map data for one scene at a time, so it opens faster.
